PLA bed adhesion is whether the first PLA layer grips the sheet and stays put. When it fails, the layer peels at the corners, drags under the nozzle, or lifts off whole. Start with these fixes
Print a flat one-layer PLA square and lift a corner to test the grip, then work top to bottom and reprint after each step.
Set the bed temp
Hold the bed at 55 to 60 C so the PLA has the heat it needs to bond.
Clean the sheet
Wipe the sheet with isopropyl alcohol to remove oil, dust, and old glue.
Level the bed
Heat the bed, then set a light paper drag at all four corners and the center.
Lower the Z-offset
Drop the Z-offset a small step so the first layer presses into the sheet.
Deeper fixes when the quick ones fall short
When heat and a clean sheet do not hold the layer, the surface and the speed are next.
Try a textured sheet
Textured PEI grips PLA well and gives a clean bottom surface.
Add a brim
Turn on a brim so the first layer has a wider footprint that resists lifting.
Slow the first layer
Drop the first layer to about 20 mm/s so the PLA has time to bond.
How PLA differs
PLA sticks the easiest of the common filaments, because it prints cool and grips a warm sheet with no enclosure. It needs only a 55 to 60 C bed, where PETG wants 80 to 90 C and ABS wants 90 to 100 C plus an enclosure. PLA also tolerates high part cooling from layer one, so you can cool it hard without lifting the corners.
Mistakes that lift the PLA layer

Avoiddo not
- Printing PLA on a cold bed, below 50 C.
- Wiping the sheet with a dirty cloth or finger oils.
- Lowering the Z-offset so far the first layer ripples.
