02 How to adjust PETG settings

  1. Dry the PETG

    Run the spool at 60 to 65 C for 4 to 8 hours, then print from a dry box if you can.

  2. Set the temperatures

    Nozzle to 240 C and bed to 80 C is a safe start that melts PETG clean on the Trident.

  3. Keep cooling low

    Run the part fan off for the first 2 to 3 layers, then 30 to 50 percent.

  4. Tune pressure advance

    The Trident runs Klipper, so adjust pressure advance for clean PETG seams.

03 What goes wrong

Most failed PETG prints on the Trident trace to wet filament and too much cooling. Wet PETG strings and prints cloudy, so dry the spool.
