About Marqilo

Last reviewed July 9, 2026

Marqilo is an independent 3D-printing site. It is written and reviewed as an organization, not by paid creators, sponsored voices, or invented experts. Every page lists its sources, the basis for its claims, and a last-reviewed date so you can judge it for yourself.

Who is behind Marqilo

Behind Marqilo is the Marqilo organization. There are no named bylines and no invented expert personas. The site speaks as one organization that is accountable for what it publishes. When a claim needs a source, the source is named on the page. When a claim is Marqilo's own analysis, the page says that too.

Marqilo will sell filament

Marqilo will sell its own filament. That is an obvious conflict, so the rules that keep the guidance independent are in place from the start. Marqilo takes no payment to recommend a product. It does not cite filament brands as authorities, and it runs no affiliate roundups or paid "best of" lists. Pages that compare or recommend filament follow the same sourcing rules as everything else, and the vetting step checks them before they are published.

What Marqilo covers

Marqilo is a filament-first FDM reference. It covers the materials, the printers, and the defects and how to fix them, with more topic areas to follow. The writing is plain-language and maker-grounded. The answer you came for appears near the top of the page, with the reasoning and sources below it. The site is English today. Português (Brasil) and Español are scaffolded and will be published as localized pages, not machine-translated copies of the English versions.

How Marqilo knows what it publishes

Most guidance on Marqilo is researched, not lab-tested. It is built from manufacturer documentation, slicer defaults, material datasheets, standards and safety guidance, and recurring patterns from the 3D-printing community. Forum and marketplace reports count as signals, not facts. When a number comes from a manufacturer, the page labels it as a manufacturer value rather than something Marqilo measured.

The "Marqilo Tested" label means Marqilo ran the test and recorded how. At launch that count is zero. It grows only from real, recorded testing.
