Why the print is not food safe

Layer lines trap bacteria that normal washing cannot reach. A brass nozzle sheds microscopic metal into the print as it wears. The resin may meet FDA rules, but the printed object does not, unless you finish it for food contact.

How to print for food contact

Use a stainless or titanium nozzle. Print smooth, dense walls. Sand the surface and apply a food-safe sealer. Even then, keep printed parts for dry food, and avoid raw meat, baby items, and long-term wet storage.
